Skyler Thomas is the Co-Founder and CTO of Cake, a company specializing in AI infrastructure. With over fifteen years of expertise building massively scaled machine learning systems, Skyler has served in leadership roles including Distinguished Technologist at HPE, Chief Architect at IBM, and Founder/CEO of QuantifiedSky. He is recognized for his contributions to AI and ML infrastructure on Kubernetes, having architected the Ezmeral Data Fabric and pioneered WebSphere Portal, a product family that earned over $2 billion. A frequent speaker at industry events including KubeCon, O'Reilly AI, and Strata Data, Skyler has received multiple technical achievement awards and advised Fortune 500 companies. He holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from Austin College.
